Monthly and Long-Term Rentals

Do you need a rental vehicle for an extended period of time? In addition to daily rentals, Walser offers any of our vehicle models for extended periods of time. Consultants or employees who are on temporary assignments enjoy driving a superior Walser Rental Car while they are in the Twin Cities. Snow birds who winter in the south and come home for the summer appreciate the convenience of having a monthly rental waiting for them when they return to Minnesota. Whatever the situation, if you need rental transportation for a few weeks or a few months, Walser can help. Special discounted rates make it affordable. And you will like the flexibility... Long-term vehicle leases are monthly rentals at least 29 days in duration, up to 11 months. In the event that a vehicle is returned before 29 days, the rental agreement will default to a short-term rental fee structure.

Eligibility

Long-term renters must:
-Be at least 25 years old
-Hold a driver's license that is valid for the entire rental period
-Have a current auto insurance policy that is valid for the entire rental period
-Provide a major credit card that is valid for the entire rental period; monthly charges will be processed on this card

Rates and Taxes

Monthly rates are discounted to be the lowest per-day rate possible. To view our monthly rental rates, please click "Make a Reservation" then enter your desired location, dates, and times. The drop-off date must be at least 29 days after the pick-up date to view a monthly rate. The "base rate" is the amount for one rental month (29 days) before tax. Once you select a vehicle, you will see the grand total for the length of time selected. For rentals longer than 29 days, sales tax applies: 6.875 % MN state sales tax, and 0.15% Hennepin County sales tax for locations in Hennepin County, including Hopkins and Bloomington. When viewing rates online, keep in mind that the prices you see include all taxes, so the total price after tax will be lower. Please contact us for an exact quote.

Unlimited Miles

All regular monthly rates include unlimited miles within MN, ND, SD, IA, and WI, unless otherwise stated. We can also arrange a plan for travel outside of these states. Luxury collection rentals may require an additional fee.

Additional Drivers

The renter's spouse is included as an authorized driver, provided they meet the driver requirements. All additional drivers must meet the driver requirements, and they need to be added to the agreement as authorized drivers at the rental counter. Each must provide her or his driver's license and insurance card at that time. The fee is $20.00 per driver. Additional drivers may not be added over the phone.

Renewal Process

Renewals are processed automatically every 29th day, and your credit card will be charged for the next month. You are responsible to keep us informed of your desired return date. You will receive a new rental agreement copy to keep in the vehicle, as well as invoices and receipts for previous months. Since this is an automatic process, the renter is not required to return to the store each month.

Maintenance

In the event that your rental vehicle requires maintenance or becomes damaged, just give us a call and we will take care of the rest! We may ask you to stop by the original dealership for a quick lube oil change when it comes due, or we can arrange to pick up the vehicle from your home or office. If necessary, we will provide a replacement of an equal or higher class than the original rental vehicle.
